Cornerstone Retreats

menscornerstone tMen’s and Women’s Cornerstone retreats have been exactly what the name implies, the Cornerstone of thousands of parish communities across the country. These 27-hour retreats, conducted on site in a parish community, begin on Friday evening and end on Saturday evening. Retreatants participate in conversation, prayer services and meals together as well as exchange thoughts and ideas regarding the presentations made by the five to seven speakers throughout the ‘weekend’. Participants from all over the country have described this as a life changing experience for them, their families and their parishes. For additional information or to register for OLMC’s Cornerstone Retreats, please contact the parish office.

Study Days

studydays tStudy days, mornings and evenings on the scriptures, theology and social justice topics are offered throughout the year for the adult members of our community. These specially prepared sessions are often presented by guest speakers, noted authors, and nationally known lecturers. Registration is required to prepare the appropriate space and refreshments. Details are posted on the website, in the bulletin and sent by postal mail to registered parishioners.

Prayer Partners

prayerpartners tIt has always been the custom of the church throughout the centuries to pray in a special way for those who are being fully initiated into the community. Those can be adults preparing for full initiation through Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, baptized young parishioners preparing for Eucharist and Confirmation, or infants and their families preparing for baptism. All parishioners are invited to become a prayer partner for these members of our community. Details on this will be posted seasonally on the website, in the bulletin and in the parish lobby.

Prayer Vigils

prayervigil tIndividuals come together following daily liturgy, when requested, to pray for special intentions and critical situations.
